Compact week 2007 runs from 1 - 8 November and provides a chance to promote the Derbyshire Compact, highlighting our achievements in a Compact way of working.
It also helps in raising awareness of the Compact and what it means for those working in the public and voluntary and community sectors in the county.
The Derbyshire Compact has been designed to achieve much better relations between the sectors setting out a framework of principles to guide this partnership working.
The Compact and its accompanying codes of good practice address issues surrounding funding and procurement, consultation and volunteering.
Real progress is being made in the county and the relationship between the sectors is getting stronger partly thanks to the Derbyshire Compact.
In order to demonstrate these successes the Derbyshire Compact review group is launching the Compact awards scheme.
These awards will recognise best practice in Compact working by highlighting and rewarding success within the county.
