Derbyshire Compact awards scheme

Compact week 2007 sees the launch of the inaugural Derbyshire Compact awards. The awards aim to highlight and reward best practice in a Compact way of working in Derbyshire.

People working together

There will be three awards categories covering best practice in:

Communicating the Compact

For example:

  • Raising awareness and championing a Compact way of working with staff, volunteers and decision-makers at all levels.
  • Excellence in promoting sign up to the Compact.
  • Reaching out to new groups and organisations in both sectors.

Compact development

For example:

Compact implementation

For example:

  • Excellence in implementing the county wide action plan
  • exemplary consultation and involvement processes
  • best practice in funding and procurement
  • good practice in conflict avoidance/ resolution.

Nominations are invited from individuals and groups working within both the public and voluntary and community sectors who can demonstrate excellence in a Compact way of working.

In addition to these categories there will be a ‘special’ award presented to the individual or organisation who has undertaken particularly significant work in relation to the Compact during the year.
