Monitoring

We will monitor progress on the targets outlined in the Derbyshire Sustainable Community Strategy every six months and will update the document on an annual basis.

We will also carry out a major review of the strategy every three years to ensure that the priorities and objectives highlighted continue to meet the needs of local people.

We expect the next major review to take place in 2008/2009. This will inform the development of the revised Derbyshire Sustainable Community Strategy which will hopefully be in place by April 2009.

How we monitor progress

Monitoring and evaluation of this strategy's priorities will be undertaken through the comprehensive performance management systems of the local area agreement (LAA) and through partner organisations' own monitoring processes.

This includes six monthly and annual performance reports on the progress made on the LAA indicators included in the Sustainable Community Strategy.

In addition, some actions to ensure progress on our four key priorities and partnership principles will be undertaken by the Derbyshire Partnership Forum.

This will include the formation of an action plan to chart progress on achieving the strategies four cross-cutting priorities.
