Your council
As the accountable body for the Forum, the County Council is responsible for the legal and financial aspects of the Partnership, which includes the delivery and administration of any externally funded projects.
The County Council is also actively involved with the district based LSPs within Derbyshire. We work with our partners at this level to address matters that are most important to people living and working within each district.
A Derbyshire County Council Cabinet Member has been elected as a board member on each district based LSP. In addition to this a senior Policy Officer has been allocated to each of the LSPs to develop coordination of county council activity and support the LSPs.
We have set up a number of Groups to ensure a consistent approach and good communication links between the County Council and district based LSPs.
Members’ LSP Coordination Panel
This panel consists of Elected Members who represent the County Council on the LSP boards. They meet quarterly to consider issues arising from the seven LSPs in Derbyshire and to share experience, knowledge and best practice.
LSP Coordination Group
The senior Policy Officers allocated to each LSP meet monthly to consider issues arising from the seven Derbyshire LSPs and to share experience, knowledge and best practice across the county.
District Departmental Network
Representatives from each of the departments within Derbyshire County Council have been nominated as key contacts for each district based LSP. This is to enable information to be easily accessed and shared between the county council and the district level LSPs. This is an electronic network therefore the majority of communication is via email.
Derbyshire LSP Coordinators’ Group
In addition to the internal County Council groups described above, we have also set up the Derbyshire LSP Coordinators’ Group along with the LSP Co-ordinators and Managers from each of the district based LSPs. The Group meets quarterly to discuss issues effecting LSPs and to share experience, knowledge and best practise.
