Children and Young People
Children and Young People is one of the four areas of the Derbyshire Local Area Agreement used to deliver the key outcomes for Children and Young People in Derbyshire.
The development of the Children and Young People within the Local Area Agreement has been closely linked to the development of the county’s first Children and Young People’s Plan and the development of the Children’s Trust
The Children and Young People's Plan is an important element of the reforms underpinned by the Children Act 2004. Local areas are required to produce a single, strategic, overarching plan for all services affecting children and young people.
The Derbyshire plan has been developed to support more effective services that will improve outcomes for children and young people.
