Governance

Information about the governance of the Derbyshire Partnership Forum.

Revised governance and constitutional arrangements have been developed for the Derbyshire Partnership Forum (DPF), the DPF Board, the DPF Executive and each of the six thematic partnerships following the publication of:

  • The Local Government White Paper, “Creating strong and Prosperous Communities”

  • The Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007

  • Recent draft statutory guidance “Creating Strong, Safe and Prosperous Communities

  • Operational Guidance 2007 – Development of the new LAA framework

  • Comprehensive Area Assessment – Joint Consultation Paper

Derbyshire already has well developed partnership arrangements in place for managing the development of the Sustainable Community Strategy for Derbyshire (opens in a new window) and the Derbyshire Local Area Agreement (opens in a new window). The new governance arrangements build on current structures but also take into account the principles outlined within the draft statutory guidance highlighted above.

A diagram outlining the structure and detailed governance arrangements can be found in the more information section below.
