Derbyshire Partnership Forum (DPF)

The Derbyshire Partnership Forum (DPF) is the countywide Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) responsible for developing Derbyshire's Sustainable Community Strategy.

The Derbyshire Partnership Forum comprises a number of public, private, voluntary and community sector organisations who have been working closely to improve the quality of life for the people of Derbyshire.

The partnership was established in 2000 because partners in the county believed that working together in a joined up way on a wide range of issues was the best way of improving services and meeting local people's needs.

Derbyshire already has well developed partnership arrangements in place for managing the development of Derbyshire's Sustainable Community Strategy and the Derbyshire Local Area Agreement.

Revised governance and constitutional arrangements have been developed for the DPF, DPF Board, DPF Executive and each of the six thematic partnerships. These have been built on current structures and take into account the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 and statutory guidance Creating Strong, Safe and Prosperous Communities. A diagram illustrating the new structure and a list of DPF members and representatives can be found in the related documents section. You will also find a short guide, outlining the ways people can find out what is happening in the partnership and make a contribution.

The DPF Terms of Reference which set out the purpose, aims and objective of the partnership and a case study highlighting the excellent partnership working arrangements within Derbyshire can be found in the related documents section.

All partners signed up to the DPF Information Sharing Protocol in December 2008 and this can be found in the related documents section below.

Partners are working together to build more cohesive communities across Derbyshire by ‘bringing people together’. Click on ‘Bringing People Together’ in the left-hand menu to find out more about our strategy, campaign and small grants fund for communities.
