Speedwell ceases trading
Speedwell bus, which ran a number of school and public bus routes in the county, ceased trading yesterday.
For public routes replacement bus services are now being run by other companies.
Service 394 is being run by Bowers with no change to the timetable
Services 202 and 341 are now running on a revised timetable and this is available from our public transport section.
Speedwell also ran a number of school bus routes in the county and a council spokesman said:
"We had three school bus contracts with Speedwell to transport students to Glossopdale Community College."These were from Charlesworth and Gamesley, Padfield, and Shirebrook Park.
"Speedwell informed us yesterday (18 January) that it was the last day they will be providing these so we have made alternative arrangements with Stagecoach who will take these on from 19 January so services will continue unaffected."
