Declaration of result of poll - county councillor election - Eckington electoral division on the 3 July 2008.

I, John Newby, being the Deputy Returning Officer at the county council election of Eckington electoral division held on 3 July 2008, do hereby give notice that the number of votes recorded for each candidate is as follows:

  • Lewis Allesbrook - British National Party: 253
  • Frank Edgar Robert Higgins - Liberal Democrat: 113
  • James Jesson - Independent: 300
  • Steve Pickering - Labour Party: 824 (elected)
  • Carolyn Renwick - Conservative Party: 658
  • David George Walpole - Independent: 150
And I do hereby declare that the said Steve Pickering is duly elected councillor for the said electoral division.
