Your council
I was elected on to the council in June 2009 where, in addition to the above, I am a member of the Regulatory Planning Committee, the Health and Adult Care Improvement and Scrutiny Committee and the Finance, Management and Regeneration Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.
I am also on the Pensions Committee and represent the council on the Derbyshire Police Authority, and I have 18 years experience as a former South Derbyshire District Councillor, much of it spent in planning.
Aside from council work, I have been involved in transport all of my life and work with my son in freight. A large part of my time is also spent on charity work for the Chernobyl children’s project in Belarus, which involves a lot of fund raising and organising aid convoys there three or four times a year.
If you want to contact me about any aspect of Derbyshire County Council’s business or services you can do so by using the following details:
You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. For details of how to do this please read our openness at meetings page.
I represent the council on a number of outside organisations or bodies
