Mike Lacey

Mike Lacey

I was elected on to the council in June 2009 where, in addition to the above, I am a member of the Regulatory Planning Committee, the Health and Adult Care Improvement and Scrutiny Committee and the Finance, Management and Regeneration Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.

I am also on the Pensions Committee and represent the council on the Derbyshire Police Authority, and I have 18 years experience as a former South Derbyshire District Councillor, much of it spent in planning.

Aside from council work, I have been involved in transport all of my life and work with my son in freight. A large part of my time is also spent on charity work for the Chernobyl children's project in Belarus, which involves a lot of fund raising and organising aid convoys there three or four times a year.
