About me

It's a privilege and a pleasure to represent the Aston and Melbourne Division on the County Council since I was first elected in 2000.

I'm the Cabinet Member for Finance and Management and represent the Authority on the County Council Network.

In addition, I’m a South Derbyshire District Councillor for the Melbourne Ward, a governor of Sale and Davys CE Primary School and Chairman of each of the Liaison Committees for the Elvaston, Shardlow and Swarkestone quarries.

I've a special interests in the elderly, sport and leisure, East Midlands Airport, the Donington Race Track and, above all, helping constituents resolve their individual concerns.

I am always keen to get feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people can also make their voice heard through the council’s b_line (opens in a new window)  site or by emailing youngpeople@derbyshire.gov.uk

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock.  You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here (opens in a new window).
