I was first elected on to the council in 1989 and as well as Chairing one of its improvement and scrutiny committees, I represent the council on the Derbyshire Police Authority. You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock.
