Your council
I was elected on to the council in June 2009 and, as well as the above positions, sit on the authority’s Health and Adult Care Scrutiny and Improvement Committee. I also represent Belper North on Amber Valley Borough Council.
I work as an archaeologist for Trent and Peak Archaeology at the University of Nottingham and have written widely for magazines and journals on archaeology, particularly rock-art.
I’ve also written a book titled Hunting in Britain: from the Ice Age to the Present, and represent the county council on the Derbyshire Archaeological Advisory Committee and Creswell Heritage Trust Council of Management where I’m a director.
I’m interested in themes that build sustainable and cohesive communities and villages, and I’m always interested in hearing from local group that work to do this.
