Your council
I was first elected on to the council in 1997 where I’m currently a member of the Finance, Management and Regeneration Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.
Prior to June 2009, I spent eight years as Chair of the council’s Improvement and Scrutiny Committee for Strategic and Budget, Regeneration and External Affairs.
I’m a Governor at Tupton Hall Community School where I Chair the Curriculum Committee, and recently became a Governor at Tupton Primary School.
I regularly attend meetings of Tupton, North Wingfield and Wingerworth parish councils, and I work closely with local Tenants and Residents Associations to bring about community improvements.
I also work with many of the voluntary and community groups in my electoral division and have helped a number of them secure financial grants.
If you’d like to know more about what I’ve achieved for my community or what my priorities are for the future, please get in touch.
If you want to contact me about any aspect of Derbyshire County Council’s business or services you can do so by using the following details:
I hold surgeries with my fellow North East Derbyshire District councillors on the first Saturday of the month (excluding Bank Holiday weekends) between 11am and 12 noon in North Wingfield Community Centre. I also hold regular street surgeries also on Saturday mornings.
I am always keen to get feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people can also make their voice heard through the council’s b_line (opens in a new window) site or by emailing youngpeople@derbyshire.gov.uk
You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here (opens in a new window).
I represent the council on a number of outside organisations or bodies
