Your council
I was first elected on to the council in 1989 for four years and, following a 12 year break, was re-elected in 2005 and, again, in 2009 where I’m currently a member of its Regulatory Planning Committee.
I’m also a North East Derbyshire District councillor with cabinet responsibility for safer communities and health, a Clay Cross Parish councillor and a governor on two local schools - Sharley Park Community Primary School, which I Chair, and Tupton Hall School.
In addition I’m very proud to be the district council’s Member Champion for the £22 million regeneration of Clay Cross, an area in which I was born and bred and where I continue to live along with my wife, Gillian, our children and their families.
