I was elected on to the council in 1997 and have Chaired the Resources Improvement and Scrutiny Committee since 2001. I also sit on the council's Sustainable and Safe Communities Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.

Surgery times I hold surgeries with my fellow North East Derbyshire District councillors on the first Saturday of the month (excluding August) between 11am and 12 noon in the Community Centre, Whiteleas Avenue, North Wingfield. They're open to all my constituents including those living in Tupton and on the Adlington Estate. There’s no need to make an appointment, just drop in. I'm always keen to get your feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people may prefer to make their voice heard through the council's b line (opens in a new window) site or magazine.   

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here
