About Me

I was elected on to the county council in 2001 and became Vice Chair of the authority in April 2007. I’m also vice-chair of its Regulatory Licensing and Appeals Committee and represent it on the Derbyshire Fire Authority.  I'm also a governor on four Dronfield area schools and secretary of Dronfield in Bloom. Below you’ll find details of when I hold my surgeries, how to contact me and some of the issues relating to this area. There’s also the chance for you to have your say, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come.

Contact Me

If you want to contact me about any aspect of Derbyshire County Council’s business or services you can do so by using the following details:
At County Hall 01629 585853

Surgery times I hold regular monthly surgeries (except August) with the local MP and other local councillors in different parts of the constituency to try and make it as convenient as possible for people to see me. There’s no need to make an appointment, just drop in. They’re held on the last Saturday of the month, 11am – 12 noon, with venues published in the Dronfield Advertiser. Or see details here of how else you can get hold of me.

Have Your Say

I'm always keen to get your feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people may prefer to make their voice heard through the council's b line (opens in a new window) site or magazine.

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here.
