I was first elected on to the council in May 2005 where I’m currently a member of its Education and Young People Improvement and Scrutiny Committee, and the Communities, Culture and the Environment Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings (opens in a new window) which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question.
