I was first elected on to the council in May 2005 and I’m particularly proud to represent the area I was born in. As well as the positions above, I am also a member of the council’s Communities, Culture and the Environment Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.
I am married to Jean, also a county councillor, and we have two sons and two grandsons.

Surgeries are usually held on the first Wednesday of the month, 7 to 8pm, at The Cadet Centre, Fauvel Road, Glossop.

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. For details of how to do this please read our openness at meetings page.
