Your council
I was elected on to the council in June 2009 and as well as the above position I’m a member of the Health and Adult Care Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.
I work as a trainer advisor for a software company and in my spare time I also volunteer within my community. I help to run Harpur Hill Youth Club, I’m involved in setting up the Harpur Hill summer play scheme, and I’ve been heavily involved in other local groups.
I live in the division I represent, I’ve raised two sons in this area, and my husband was born in Buxton. So I’m looking forward to and excited at having the opportunity to work for local people representing local issues, and making a difference to the community where I live.

I hold regular surgeries in Fairfield, Harpur Hill, Heath Grove and Peakdale. You can email me for dates or watch out for local notices.
I am always keen to get feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people can also make their voice heard through the council’s b_line (opens in a new window) site or by emailing youngpeople@derbyshire.gov.uk
You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here (opens in a new window).
I represent the council on a number of outside organisations or bodies
