About Me
I became a county councillor in 1981 and took up my current role in April 2007.
Prior to that I was Cabinet Member for External Affairs for six years and have had past responsibility for various local authority functions - education, libraries, highways, fire and trading standards.
I'm currently a member of two of the council's improvement and scrutiny committees, resources and healthier communities.

Have Your Say
|
I'm always keen to get your feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come.
Young people may prefer to make their voice heard through the council's b line (opens in a new window) site or magazine. You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available on the openness at meetings page.
