About Me

I was elected on to the authority in May 2005 and sit on its Resources Improvement and Scrutiny Committee and its Regulatory Licensing and Appeals Committee. I’m also a High Peak Borough councillor, a governor on Buxton Community School and a member of Buxton police community consultative group.

I’m a keen golfer and a member at Cavendish Golf Club and, as a local company director, I understand and share the concerns of local businesses.  I’m also a member of Burbage Charity finance committee, and I’m raising money for Cancer Research and Charis House through a £5 booklet I’ve produced based on a decade of friendship with American newspaper columnist David Kerr.

If you’d like to support the initiative please see below where you’ll find details of how to contact me and some of the issues relating to this area. There’s also the chance for you to have your say, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come.

Have Your Say

I'm always keen to get your feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people may prefer to make their voice heard through the council's b line (opens in a new window) site or magazine.

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here.
