Your council
I was first elected on to the county council in 1970, but I’ve been a councillor on other authorities since 1961.
I’m a member of the council’s Finance, Management and Regeneration Improvement and Scrutiny Committee as well as its Communities, Culture and the Environment Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.
Locally I’m involved with many activities and organisations and have long associations with Sawley Cricket Club, Long Eaton’s Trident Swimming Club and Long Eaton Cycling Club.

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings (opens in a new window) which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question.
