About Me
I was elected onto the council in 1989 and became a cabinet support member in May 2005. I’m also on the Sustainable and Safe Communities Improvement and Scrutiny Committee and represent the council on the Derbyshire Fire Authority.
Locally I’m an Erewash Borough councillor and President of both the Long Eaton and District Talking Newspaper for the Blind and the Long Eaton Silver Prize Band. I’m also a governor on Brooklands Primary School and a member of the Long Eaton Sea Cadets management committee.
I’m always prepared to get involved in local activities and have made financial contributions to many local worthwhile projects and initiatives through the county council’s community leadership scheme.
Below you’ll find details of when I hold my surgeries, how to contact me and some of the issues relating to this area. There’s also the chance for you to have your say, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come.

Have Your Say
|
I'm always keen to get your feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people may prefer to make their voice heard through the council's b line (opens in a new window) site or magazine. You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here. |
