About Me

I was elected onto the council in May 2005 and since retiring as a nurse working in health and social care, I'm looking forward to being a full time councillor representing this area.  As well as my cabinet member support role, I sit on the authority's Improvement and Scrutiny Committee for Sustainable and Safe Communities and represent it on the Peak District National Park Authority and  joint advisory group.  As an experienced town and district councillor I bring particular knowledge and expertise in housing, planning, conservation, education, regeneration, health social issues and community safety.  Below you'll find details of how to contact me and some of the issues relating to this area.  There's also the chance for you to have your say, good or bad, on county related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come.

Have Your Say

I'm always keen to get your feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people may prefer to make their voice heard through the council's b line (opens in a new window) site or magazine.

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock.    You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here.
