About me

I was elected on to the council in 1997 and as a retired headteacher I’ve maintained a special interest in education issues and sit on its Services for Children Improvement and Scrutiny Committee. Locally I’m a past President of Ashbourne Rotary Club, vice-chair of Ashbourne Town Council’s finance committee, a trustee of Ashbourne Volunteer Bureau and Chairman of Ashbourne Access Group.

Below you’ll find details of how to contact me and some of the issues relating to this area. There's also the chance for you to have your say, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come.

Contact me

If you want to contact me about any aspect of Derbyshire County Council’s business or services you can do so by using the following details:
At County Hall: 01629 580000 ext 6022
Home Phone: 01335 344750
Work Address: Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock DE4 3AG
Home Address: 11 King Street, Ashbourne, Derbyshire DE6 1EA

Have you say

I'm always keen to get your feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people may prefer to make their voice heard through the council's b line (opens in a new window) site or magazine.

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock.    You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here.

Outside Bodies

I represent the council on a number of outside organisations or bodies
