Your council
I was first elected on to Derbyshire County Council in 2001 and I’m currently Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats at County Hall.
I’m a member of the council’s Education and Young People’s Improvement and Scrutiny Committee and represent the council on the Derbyshire Police Authority.
My outside interests are cricket, boxing, Association football, rugby football and occasional horse riding.
If you want to contact me about any aspect of Derbyshire County Council’s business or services you can do so by using the following details:
I conduct street surgeries on a regular basis, between 10am and 12 noon on Saturdays.
I am always keen to get feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people can also make their voice heard through the council’s b_line (opens in a new window) site or by emailing youngpeople@derbyshire.gov.uk
You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here (opens in a new window).
I represent the council on a number of outside organisations or bodies
