Walter Burrows
I was first elected on to the council in 1993 and have served on all major committees, such as Education, Social Services, Highways, Transport, Libraries, Heritage and Countryside.
I'm also a former Cabinet Member for Environment and Highways and Public Protection and Transport, and was Vice-chair of the Council for a short time before a two-year spell as Chair of Derbyshire County Council from May 2005.
I'm currently a member of the council's Communities, Culture and the Environment Improvement and Scrutiny Committee as well as its Pensions Committee.
