Dave Allen

David Allen

I was elected on to the council in 1973 and have spent most of that time involved with social services matters.

I'm currently Shadow Cabinet Member for Adult Care and sit on the authority's Health and Adult Care Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.

I also represent the council on the Derbyshire Combined Fire Authority and I'm a partner member on the Chesterfield Royal Hospital Trust.

Locally I'm a governor on Hasland Community and Hasland Junior schools.

I am always keen to get feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people can also make their voice heard through the council's b_line (opens in a new window) site or by emailing youngpeople@derbyshire.gov.uk

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question.
