Marian Stockdale
I was first elected to the council in 2001 where I'm a member of both the Health and Adult Care Improvement and Scrutiny Committee and the Regulatory Licensing and Appeals Committee.
I also represent it on the Peak District National Park Authority, and I'm a Local Authority governor at Shirebrook Academy which opened in September 2010.
Locally I'm Chair of the Parks Schools Federation's board of Governors at Shirebrook, which covers both the infant and junior schools, and a county council representative on Creswell, Langwith, Whaley Thorns and Shirebrook Sure Start.

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. - My surgery dates are advertised in the community centres at New Houghton, Pleasley and Glapwell, and I also hold them in the Surestart Centre at Park Road in Shirebrook. Notices are displayed outside every building, or you can call me on the numbers given here.
