Your council
I was first elected to the council in 2001 and sit on its Health and Adult Care Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.
I’m also a member of the Regulatory Licensing and Appeals Committee and represent the council on the Peak District National Park Authority.
I also represent the council on Creswell, Langwith, Whaley Thorns and Shirebrook Sure Start and I’m a governor on two Shirebrook primary schools as well as Shirebrook School, which is due to become an academy in the near future.
If you want to contact me about any aspect of Derbyshire County Council’s business or services you can do so by using the following details:
My surgery dates are advertised in the community centres at New Houghton, Pleasley and Glapwell, and I also hold them in the Surestart Centre at Park Road in Shirebrook. Notices are displayed outside every building, or you can call me on the numbers given here.
I am always keen to get feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people can also make their voice heard through the council’s b_line (opens in a new window) site or by emailing youngpeople@derbyshire.gov.uk
You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here (opens in a new window).
I represent the council on a number of outside organisations or bodies
