About Me

I was elected on to the council in May 2005 and as well as Chairing the above committee I represent the council on the Derbyshire Fire Authority. I'm also Chair of governors at Whitwell Primary School. At other times I’m a part-time tutor with North Notts College and the National Federation of Anglers, and I've been a steelworker, miner, district and parish councillor.

Below you’ll find details of when I hold my surgeries, how to contact me and some of the issues relating this area. There's also the chance for you to have your say, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come.

Contact Me

If you want to contact me about any aspect of Derbyshire County Council’s business or services you can do so by using the following details:

Surgery times I hold regular surgeries in different parts of the constituency to try and make it as convenient as possible for people to see me. Dates and times are advertised locally and you don’t need to make an appointment, just drop in.
Address 5 Claylands Place, Bakestone Moor, Whitwell, Worksop, Notts

Have Your Say

I'm always keen to get your feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people may prefer to make their voice heard through the council's b line (opens in a new window) site or magazine.

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here.
