About me

I was first elected on to the council in 1997 where I’m shadow Cabinet Member for Finance and Management. I'm also a member of the council's Education and Young People Improvement and Scrutiny Committee, its Finance, Management and Regeneration Improvement and Scrutiny Committee , its Improvement and Scrutiny Management Committee, and its Investment Committee.

Locally I’m a governor at Heritage and Clowne Infant and Nursery School, on the management committee of Clowne and District Community Transport, a trustee of Barlborough Resource Centre, and Chair of the Clowne Children’s Centre Local Advisory Group.

I work closely with Dennis Skinner MP, district and parish councillors and hold regular surgeries.
