About Me
I was first elected on to the council in 1997 and have recently taken on the new role of Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, which has overall responsibility for all county council services for children and young people in Derbyshire.
I represent Barlborough and Clowne and work closely with Dennis Skinner MP, district and parish councillors and hold regular surgeries.
Below you’ll find details of where and when these take place, how to contact me and some of the issues relating to this area. There’s also the chance for you to have your say, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come.

Have Your Say
|
I'm always keen to get your feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people may prefer to make their voice heard through the council's b line (opens in a new window) site or magazine. You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here.
