Your council
I was elected on to the council in June 2009 where I’m a member of the Education and Young People Improvement and Scrutiny Committee as well as representing the council on the Derbyshire Police Authority.
I’m also an Amber Valley Borough councillor with interests in planning, scrutiny and housing matters, and a Ripley Town councillor.
Now I’m retired I’ve the time to concentrate on council work and on helping people in the local community.
If you want to contact me about any aspect of Derbyshire County Council’s business or services you can do so by using the following details:
I am always keen to get feedback, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come. Young people can also make their voice heard through the council’s b_line (opens in a new window) site or by emailing youngpeople@derbyshire.gov.uk
You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. For details of how to do this please read our openness at meetings page.
I represent the council on a number of outside organisations or bodies
