I was elected on to the council in 1989 and was its civic head, Chair of the Council, for two years until May 2005. I’m currently a Cabinet Support member for Regneration and a member of the council’s scrutiny committees for Services for Children and Sustainable and Safe Communities.

I also sit on its investment and pensions committees and the Regulatory Licensing and Appeals Committee. Below you’ll find details of how to contact me and some of the issues relating to this area.

You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question. Details of how to do this are available here.
