About Me

I was elected on to the council in 1993 and was Vice Chair of the authority for two years up to April 2007. I’m  Vice-chair of all three of the council’s Audit, Investments and Pensions committees, a member of the Derbyshire Police Authority and the Local Government Association.

I'm also Chair of Horsley Woodhouse Parish Council while, in 2005, I was awarded the MBE for services to the community.

Below you’ll find details of how to contact me and some of the issues relating to this area. There’s also the chance for you to have your say, good or bad, on county council related matters so you can help shape what we do and how we do it, both now and in years to come.
