Your council
I was elected onto the county council in June 2009. As well as my cabinet support role, I am an Education and Young People Improvement and Scrutiny Committee member and represent the council on the Derbyshire Police Authority.
I am committed to ensuring that all residents across Greater Heanor and our outlying parishes are proud to live here because they feel safe in their homes, on our streets and recognise that the services we deliver are value for money.
I have lived in the Greater Heanor division for over 10 years and worked as a self-employed business manager since leaving the Army in 1998. I am also an Amber Valley Borough Councillor where I am proud to be leading on the Town Centre Regeneration.
I have a special interest in health and social care and sit on the Royal Derby Hospital Foundation NHS Trust Board of Governors, and I am also a lay member of the NHS East Midlands Workforce Deanery.
If you want to contact me about any aspect of Derbyshire County Council’s business or services you can do so by using the following details:
Meet me at your monthly parish council meetings: Mapperley on the first Monday, Aldercar and Langley Mill on the third Tuesday, and Shipley on the fourth Tuesday.
If you require a private session contact me and I will be happy to meet you or your group at your preference.
You can also come along to any of Derbyshire County Council meetings which take place six times a year, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, at its headquarters in Matlock. You can either just watch the proceedings or you can ask a question.
I represent the council on a number of outside organisations or bodies
