Friday 14 to Friday 21 November

Friday 14, 1.15pm, 6.30pm and 7pm

Chair Councillor Joyce Sanders is in West Hallam with Alfreton Town Football Club representatives to make a Community Venture scheme prize draw presentation to Scargill Primary School.

Later Vice-chair Councillor Janet Hill is at Chatsworth House for an official reception to mark the fundraising campaign for ‘Oil Paintings in Public Ownership in Derbyshire’.

In the evening Chair Councillor Joyce Sanders is in Derby for the Derbyshire Sports Awards 2008 taking place at Pride Park Stadium.

Saturday 15, 10.30am and 6pm

Chair Councillor Joyce Sanders is in North Wingfield for “My Dad’s a Star” awards at Alice’s View Sure Start Children’s Centre.

Later she is in Rowsley at The Peacock Hotel to officially welcome Toyota City’s civic delegation from Japan to Derbyshire.

Sunday 16, 3pm

Chair Councillor Joyce Sanders is in Langley near Heanor for Heanor and Loscoe Town Council’s civic service at Langley Community Church.

Monday 17, 9.25am, 12 noon and 6pm

Chair Councillor Joyce Sanders is in Bakewell at Lady Manners School with Toyota City’s cultural goodwill delegation.  Later she is in Whaley Thorns at the Children’s Centre for the official unveiling of  Shirebrook School sports mural.

In the evening she is at County Hall, Matlock to host the official civic twinning ceremony being held to commemorate 10 years of ties between Derbyshire and Toyota City, Japan.

Tuesday 18, 10am and 1.30pm

Chair Councillor Joyce Sanders is in Bakewell for the official launch of Derbyshire’s Trusted Trader scheme taking place at the town’s library.

Later she is at County Hall, Matlock to officially welcome delegates to the Japan Day seminar taking place in the council chamber. 

Prior to that she joins Toyota City Mayor Suzuki and other Japanese dignitaries for a photo shoot with the stone lantern presented to Derbyshire County Council to mark 10 years of twinning links between the two communities. 

Wednesday 19, 2pm and 7pm

Chair Councillor Joyce Sanders is in Wingerworth near Chesterfield for the official re-launch of the ‘My School Lunch’ website at Deer Park Primary School and to help judge a Ready Steady Cook competition.

Later she is at County Hall, Matlock to host the monthly official Citizenship Ceremony.

Thursday 20, 9am and 2pm

Chair Councillor Joyce Sanders joins Chesterfield Football Club representatives in Pilsley near Clay Cross to make a Community Venture Scheme prize draw presentation to Park House Primary School.

Later she is in Hayfield to help judge a Ready Steady Cook competition taking place at Hayfield Primary School.

Friday 21, 11am, 5.30pm and 7pm

Chair Councillor Joyce Sanders is in Burnaston for a celebration ceremony at Toyota Manufacturing UK to mark the start of production of the new generation Avensis.

Later Vice-chair Councillor Janet Hill is in Chesterfield at the Town Hall for a special meeting of Chesterfield Borough Council to confer the Honorary Freedom of the Borough on its former Chief Executive David Shaw, and the Posthumous Honorary Freedom of the Borough on Lord Varley.

In the evening Chair Councillor Joyce Sanders is at County Hall, Matlock for the Foster Carers Long Service Awards.
