What are service pressures?

Service pressures are the priorities facing our services.

These service pressures arise from a wide range of sources including; new statutory requirements, increases in service demand and local priorities.

The service pressures for 2008-09 amount to:

  • Recurring items          £18.438m
  • Non-recurring items    £10.222m
