Viewing the accounts

Each year the county council makes arrangements for anyone who wishes to do so, to inspect the council’s accounts at County Hall, Matlock.

This year the accounts for the financial year ended 31 March 2007 may be inspected between 9am – 5pm on weekdays from 31 July 2007 to 29 August 2007.

If you would like to see the accounts and other associated documents, you should contact the Head of Corporate Finance at County Hall.

When you contact us, it would help if you could tell the Corporate Finance staff which documents you would like to see or explain the matters in which you have a particular interest.

They will then ensure the necessary information is ready for you when you arrive. The Notice of Public Rights (available in the More Information section below) gives more details of the type of information that we can make available for inspection.

Opportunity to question the Auditor

From 30 August 2007 until the completion of the audit of the accounts, you may have an opportunity to question the auditor about the accounts or to object to matters over which the auditor could take action.

Please read the Notice of Public Rights (available in the More Information section below) if you would like to meet the auditor to ensure you are eligible to do so.
