Ways to contact us

You can make general enquiries to us online.
You can report faults or problems on our roads and footpaths, look for a job, renew library books, search for a school, apply for free school meals, find a Trusted Trader and contact your councillor in our do it now section.
Some of our services also provide a direct email address and you will find these on the relevant page of the website.

We are open between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday and between 9.30am and 4pm on Saturdays. Outside of these times we provide an out of hours service for some areas including social care.
British Sign Language (BSL)
Customers who prefer to use British Sign Language (BSL) can contact us using a SignLive video interpreter.
This service is available from Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm. It's free to contact us from your home.
You'll need to register the first time you use it. You'll also need:
- a PC or Mac that runs Windows and has a webcam
- a modern browser such as Google Chrome or Safari. Windows version 8 or 9 can be used but will need a plug in.
- bandwidth of at least 256KBps upload and download (384KBps recommended).
To use SignLive:
- Go to SignLive BSL Live (opens in a new window)
- Tell the SignLive interpreter you are calling County Council Call Derbyshire
- You will be connected to an accessible customer advisor.

Our head office at County Hall, Matlock is open normal office hours, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (except Bank Holidays).
