Consultation Forums

There are a number of forums in Derbyshire which provide a recognised framework for geographical communities and communities of interest to participate in two way consultation with the county council.

Youth Forums, Derbyshire's 50+ Forum Network, and Black and Minority Ethnic Forums enable members of these communities to identify and feedback relevant issues to the council, and have a say on council policies, strategies and service delivery through consultation activity.

If you would like to receive more information about your nearest 50+ forum please contact:

Geographical communities are represented through local community forums, which cover a range of geographical 'community' areas within Derbyshire. In those areas where community forums are not fully established work is underway to develop appropriate mechansims. The community forums meet on a regular basis to discuss issues that are important for the local area.

The community forums are co-ordinated by Derbyshire County Council and the district councils.
