Geographical communities are represented through local community forums, which cover a range of geographical 'community' areas within Derbyshire. In those areas where community forums are not fully established work is underway to develop appropriate mechansims. The community forums meet on a regular basis to discuss issues that are important for the local area.
The community forums are co-ordinated by Derbyshire County Council and the district councils.
