| Aims & Purpose |
We look after more than 3,000 miles of public rights of way across the county along with many more miles of other paths, trails and Greenways. We want to make sure these routes meet the needs of local people and visitors both now and in the future. That is why in 2004/05 we asked people what they thought we should do to make Derbyshire's path network better. We listened to those views and used them to produce the draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan - our action plan for the next five years. The Draft Plan and an accompanying leaflet and questionnaire set out our proposals for delivering improvements and managing the existing network. We wanted to hear which you thought were the most important so that we could prioritise the proposals. The purpose of this consultation, "Are we on the Right Track?", was to hear the views of a wide range of people about the draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan for Derbyshire. The results of the consultation have been used to inform the finished plan which was published in November 2007. It can be viewed or downloaded by clicking the links below in the 'Results and Outcomes' section. For ease of use the document has been split into five separate sections. |
