How to find us

County Hall is situated in Matlock along with several other council sites, including John Hadfield House and Chatsworth House.

Use the following links to access maps of the office you are visiting:

There is a new road layout in Matlock. If you are approaching from the north on the A6 there is a new roundabout and bypass to connect you with the A6 on the other side of Matlock town centre.

If you are heading to John Hadfield House please take the new bypass (past the Sainsbury's superstore) and continue straight on through both sets of traffic lights to pick up the A6 again. For County Hall and Chatsworth House please continue straight on at the new island for Matlock town centre.

If you are travelling from the south on the A6 you will no longer be able to come across the bridge into Crown Square in Matlock. You will need to take the bypass to the new roundabout the other side of town and take the third exit to approach Crown Square from the north - or take the first exit off the roundabout to continue north on the A6 toward Darley Dale.

Also be aware that if you are travelling by bus some buses now stop at the new terminal near the train station rather than at the bus station in the centre of town. You can find out more by following the links to our public transport section.
