Volunteer with us
We have many opportunities for members of the community who wish to contribute to our work.
Why do we use volunteers?
- It enables members of the community to contribute to working with young people at risk of offending and allows them to get involved in solving community problems.
- It creates a positive link between the community and these young people.
Volunteers bring particular skills to our work:
- they are from the same or similar communities as the young people they work with
- they offer friendship, support and advice in a way that our professional staff are unable to.
Options for volunteers
Volunteering opportunities with us:
- Appropriate Adult Service - volunteers are included on a rota to support young people who are in police custody.
- Referral Order Panel - panel members meet with young people and their families to agree a contract as part of a court order. Victims are also invited along to attend these panels.
- Sporting Futures - young people are encouraged to get involved with a range of sporting activities supported by our volunteers.
