Volunteer Passport for Derbyshire organisations

Would you like accredited training for your volunteers in Derbyshire?

The Volunteer Passport scheme offers a flexible package of training that is ready to deliver or can be adapted by you to meet the specific needs of your volunteers.

We can provide your organisation with a Volunteer Passport toolkit and ongoing support to enable you to deliver this NCFE accredited training to your volunteers.

Accredited training delivered by you

We're aware that many community organisations do not have the resources to develop an accredited training course, internally quality assure or liaise with an awarding body.

The Volunteer Passport team will provide support for all of these functions, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality training to your volunteers.

Reasons to offer the Volunteer Passport to your volunteers

Offering accredited training to your volunteers is a great way to show how much you value the contribution they make to your organisation.

In addition to this, the Volunteer Passport enhances your organisation's ability to:

  • attract potential volunteers to your service
  • upskill existing volunteers and standardise induction training
  • demonstrate the credibility of your volunteer-led services

How the Volunteer Passport is delivered

The Volunteer Passport is a 10-hour, level-1 course that contains 5 elements:

  • equality, diversity and inclusion
  • health and safety
  • keeping yourself and others safe
  • first aid awareness
  • person-centred approach

Everyone who completes the course gets an accredited Volunteer Passport certificate.

You do not need any prior experience in delivering learning, as you'll be provided with training from one of our team to ensure that you feel confident to deliver the course. You'll also receive a range of electronic lesson plans, information, learning resources, presentations and a workbook - everything you'll need to deliver the Volunteer Passport in your organisation.

We'll provide full quality assurance support to you, carry out registrations with the awarding body and arrange for certificates to be delivered to your learners.

Cost

There's no cost to Derbyshire organisations (excluding Derby) for the training, support and resources that we provide you to deliver the course.

There is a cost for registration and certification of learners. We're happy to discuss funding options with you.
