Sports Action Grant
Sports Action Grants scheme has now closed.
The £180,000 fund which was launched October 2011, has awarded grants to 225 local groups, for projects that:
- encourage more people to take part in sport and physical activities
promote healthy and active lifestyles
encourage volunteering within sport and improve sporting performance.
Grants ranging from £100 to £1,000 have been awarded to projects all over the county, including building refurbishment, improvements to pitches and training areas, new equipment, and coaching courses.
The fund, backed by Derbyshire Olympic badminton star Donna Kellogg MBE, has been distributed over 12 months through three timetabled rounds.
