About Taste Restaurant @ Chesterfield College

Taste at Chesterfield College Restaurant is a successful and vibrant student run commercial restaurant that provides a realistic working environment for our Hospitality and Catering students and is situated in the heart of Chesterfield. Our location is key to our success in attracting customers from all over Derbyshire and South Yorkshire. Our passion is fresh, seasonal food using top quality local ingredients that are locally sourced. The Taste restaurant is a great place to meet up with friends; it offers an exciting varied and affordable menu. The restaurant is situation on the first floor of the College and is accessible by stairs or lifts. Supplier pledges

Pledges on fat
Use an oil for frying with less than 15g saturated fat per 100g such as rapeseed or sunflower oil. Use lean minced meat or drain off the fat. Trim excess fat from meat and remove skin from chicken. Use cooked meats with all visible fat trimmed off. Offer to grill, bake, poach or steam food instead of frying. Use or offer less cheese in fillings and toppings. Use or offer low fat cheese.
