About Lock House Tea Room

Ideally set where the rivers Trent and Soar meet, in attractive Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire countryside, these tea rooms specialise in good old-fashioned cooking. The house dates from 1794 and was built for the canal network. The Ashby family offer a warm welcome and a menu to delight visitors. There is a choice of over 60 teas and a selection of speciality coffees. Choose from Cornish clotted cream teas, hot stews, toasties, tripe and onions, jacket potatoes, daily specials and much more. Relish the knickerbocker glory. In Summer, the Victorian style ice cream cart offers a variety of unusual ice cream flavours - many of them homemade. Find us off M1 junction 24.
