The spring/summer 2008 issue of Derbyshire Gold is available from libraries, district and local council offices and tourist information centres.
The 40-page colour magazine is packed full of features, articles and interviews on a range of topics covering lifestyle, leisure, health and other issues affecting older people.
The magazine also contains the Derbyshire Gold Guide to Services for You and Your Family – a 48 page booklet containing useful local information about transport, money matters, health, social services, housing, leisure and much more. This guide is updated annually.Here’s a taste of what’s inside the magazine:

- celebrity interview with Derbyshire wildlife artist Pollyanna Pickering

Derbyshire Gold is part of the Gold Card scheme. This is a partnership between the county’s district councils, Derby City Council and Derbyshire County Council.
The Gold Card is a discount and library card as well as a pass for free bus travel throughout England and half fare local train travel.
The card is issued to residents aged 60 or over and to people with certain disabilities. For more information please visit the Gold Card page.
